Bio of Denver Artist Jeff Page

Born in Denver Colorado in 1978. I studied at the San Francisco Art Institute where I received my BFA in 2002 in Interdisciplinary Studies. I was also the driving force behind a tiny gallery in San Francisco, Page One Project. I have been back in Denver for the past three years where I am a Board Member of the GREAT organization - PlatteForum, and a resident artist at RedLine.

I work in mixed-media and occasionally I'll do a large-scale installation using a variety of materials. Wherever my ideas lead me will determine the material that I use. The constant theme in my process is the braiding together of concept, intuition and material. From obtuse imagery to simple, process-oriented creation my work always reflects an accurate view of me, my perspective and the world I'm reacting to.

Artists who inspire me: Robert Gober, Wangechi Mutu, Matthew Ritchie, Matthew Barney, Sarah Sze, Phillip Taaffe, Rex Ray, Amy Sedaris, J.J. Abrams.
